Basalt fiber

Basalt fiber is a section of complex basalt fiber of a given length. Depending on the customer’s needs, basalt fiber can be supplied either as free monofilaments or as sections of complex basalt fibers glued together.

Basalt fabric

Basalt fabric is a woven roll material with plain weave of yarns. The fabric is manufactured from basalt roving and basalt twisted complex yarns with linear density from 50 to 1200 tex on weaving machines ATPR-100 and TR-120-C.

Unidirectional and multiaxial fabrics

Basalt fabrics are used in various technologies such as: vacuum injection, RTM, etc. Basalt fabrics are particularly important in the production of wind turbine blades and ship hulls, as replacing E-glass fabrics with basalt fabrics can reduce the weight of the structure while maintaining mechanical performance. The cost of basalt multiaxial fabric is close in cost to similar E-glass fabrics.
